Spending so many years there I made a lot of friendships. They became good friends and were like family. They were not only there for you at work, but also outside of work. The best part about working at Orbit was the relationships you would make with your co-workers. People would get "stuck" in the same position and wage until they felt like they needed to move on because they couldn't make a living on what they were making anymore. I hit a point in the company that my wage hit my "max" and I would never move up, which was another thing that happened a lot in the company. They would micro manage to the point of getting behind on their work making our work harder to do. On the other hand, my immediate supervisors over the years were hard to work with at times and they would make things more stressful when it wasn't needed. ![]() The upper management were great people and easy to talk to. The company as a whole was very good to me over the years. Although the last couple years they improved a bit by having more lunches, giving employees more time off and giving little things here and there. We were expected to work long and hard with little recognition. The company did their best to make their employees feel appreciated but sometimes it felt like we were the step-children that got the left overs. As the years went I would work from 50-60 hrs and occasional Saturdays. When I first started there I would work anywhere from 60-70 hrs a week and that included every Saturday. Some days were very stressful and we would work long hours. When working at Orbit I had ups and downs. ![]()
